SolBe has two interconnected schools: the Nursery School and the Canopy School.
To continually create the highest-quality early learning experience for your family, SolBe invested eight years of learning and thoughtful experimentation into providing you with a truly unique, two-school model with a single purpose: to empower conscious, competent, caring, collaborative individuals who are deeply curious about themselves and the world around them.
Our schools are neighbors.
The schools are a two-minute drive from one another. Children have a seamless transition when they matriculate from the Nursery School to the Canopy School, and your travel routine as a parent doesn’t get upended.
Their proximity also allows them to share resources, like easily extending our nutrition program and the from-scratch meals prepared in the Canopy School kitchen to the Nursery School.

Most schools must compromise aspects of their environment to accommodate all age groups in one space. What's more, the team's attention at those schools is necessarily spread across more developmental stages.
Instead, SolBe offers two purpose-built, interconnected schools each with an entire team dedicated to their specialty: one focused on the nurturing the earliest foundations and one focused on building upon those foundations, preparing children for all that comes next.
SolBe Nursery School establishes character foundations for social-emotional learning, first friendships, and resilience.
SolBe Canopy School builds on character foundations from the Nursery School, weaving in increased complexity, collaboration, and school-age readiness.

Global educator team with core attributes of being down-to-earth, growth-minded, brilliant, and fun.
We hire educators for their character—empathy, patience, and passion for teaching—and then invest in developing their skills and pay them 33-60% above market in Boston.
We are global and diverse in thought. SolBe proudly [includes] educators from Iran, Afghanistan, Chile, Venezuela, Peru, Mexico. All SolBe lead educators have a BS in Early childhood education or related field, and an MS in different areas such as diversity and inclusion, special education, specialization on STEM & Arts.
Spaces
Purposeful indoor and dedicated outdoor spaces designed for exploration, body awareness, and nervous system regulation.
At SolBe, classrooms comprise two distinct spaces—a Dwelling and a Yard. Dwellings are cozy, homelike spaces for quiet and focused activities. In contrast, the Yards provide the perfect space to make a mess, burn energy, or explore more active learning opportunity.
Foundations from Reggio-Emilia (process-based learning),outdoor emphasis, social-emotional learning, STEAM, Spanish language exposure, and school-age readiness.
Making life easier for thriving families with all-inclusive, seed-to-table nutrition.
- Breakfast, lunch and snack made from scratch daily in our kitchen.
- Meat-free, nut-free, allergy-friendly, and organic whenever possible.
- Ingredients from local farms and grown in our garden
- Multiple forms of ingredients to encourage adventurous eating

Purposefully designed for developing balance and body awareness. Turf mounts, pull up/balance bar, and log steppers.
SolBe Canopy School
Built for appropriate risk-taking and enhanced body awareness. Enclosed, private area with 8,000 sq. ft. of open-ended space.

And how are we able to make all of this possible?
Typically, building an entire school full of earliest-age classrooms is economically unviable, which is why most schools either provide only preschool or all age groups. SolBe, and all of our families, benefit greatly from a strong, enduring partnership with our landlord, Chestnut Hill Realty (CHR), whose belief in the importance of high-quality early education made possible SolBe's two-school model.
