Life moves faster and is more chaotic than ever before. Current child care centers and nursery schools leave us torn between what we think is best for our child and what we know we need for ourselves.

Your wellness and the wellness of your child shouldn’t be a question of either/or. SolBe is an early learning center committed to yes/and. Yes to providing the best education experience for your child and to supporting you in living your life to the fullest.

Are you ready to see for yourself?

We’re driven to create the most nurturing, positive, and holistic experience possible for your child. We provide seed-to-table nutrition, thoughtfully designed facilities, professional staff, and an intercultural program. That’s where our collaboration starts.

BE SUPPORTED

Overwhelmed with choices? Maybe just overwhelmed? Wanting to do what’s best for your child but not sure what that is, or not enough time to do it? We know the feeling.

At SolBe, we’re here for your child—and for you. Everything is included. Clear policies. No fees. Fewer headaches. Greater peace of mind.

BE INSPIRED

Play profoundly shapes the performance of the human brain, at every age. Play correlates with creativity, imaginative problem-solving, resilience, and the capacity to learn from making a mess of things.

At SolBe, play is work and work is play. Our innovative classroom spaces seamlessly enhance your child’s experience of the curriculum, which stems from roots in the Reggio Emilia approach. Under the keen guidance of well-prepared, professional educators, your child will explore their natural curiosity through the physical world. This project-based approach is sometimes called “child-originated and teacher framed.” It’s a remarkably powerful and engaging way to learn. Go ahead, have fun

BE IMMERSED

Research clearly and increasingly supports the long-lasting benefits of learning a second language. Increased concentration. More efficient task-switching. Denser gray matter.

At SolBe, we’re exposed to bilingual learning—our educators communicate with students, and with each other, in Spanish. Our books are in Spanish as well as English. And we have fun with it. Una parte de la diferencia aquí.

BE WELL

Food is fuel for brain development, 90% of which happens before age five.

At SolBe, nutritious food is close to our hearts. We offer an organic kitchen. Produce from local farms. Hearty breakfasts, snacks, and lunches. The opportunity for children to participate in the growing and making of their food. It’s all part of our recipe for good health. Involving children is just the start.

SolBe holds these pursuits to be self-evident: Continual improvement. Cross-disciplinary, research-based best practice. Honest and non-judgmental communication. A holistic approach. A willing mind. Your child's and your best interest at heart.

Be a part of it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do children need to hit specific milestones for certain classrooms?

Each child is handled on an individual basis. During the enrollment process, you will fill out a developmental history form based on your child’s age. This information will help guide our conversations with you, and will ultimately help us to choose the best classroom to ensure that you, and your child, thrive at SolBe!

What schedules do you offer?

In an effort to be flexible and understanding of working parents, we are pleased to offer year-round enrollment and accommodating schedules, including part-time and full-time options: Core school days, 8 AM – 3 PM, 5 days per week, all year. 9.5-hour extended school days, 5 days per week, all year. 4 days per week, 8 AM – 3 PM, all year. 3 days per week, 8 AM – 3 PM, all year.

What does the name SolBe mean?

Our name defines our perspective: “sol” from the Spanish word meaning sun and the English word “be”, combining into a name meaning “to be full of light”. Learning is not the filling of a cup, but the lighting of a fire.
